The Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Instructional Technology is a 100% online program
designed to prepare educators to effectively integrate technology into teaching and
learning. Whether you want to enhance technology use in your classroom or serve as
a technology coach or facilitator in P-12 schools, this program will help you develop
the knowledge and skills needed to support student success.
Designed for educators nationwide, the program aligns with the International Society
for Transforming Education () Standards for Educators (). Coursework emphasizes the practical application of technology to improve teaching
and learning and is designed for educators who have access to a classroom or learning
environment where they can implement technology-enhanced instruction.
The fully online cohort program can be completed in five semesters and consists of
30 credit hours of specialized coursework taught by graduate faculty and experienced
technology professionals.
Upon graduation, you will be prepared to:
Georgia educators -- the M.Ed. in Instructional Technology satisfies requirements for an S-5 certification (service field) in Instructional Technology and may upgrade a T-4 certificate to a T-5 certificate. To qualify for the certification addition and certificate upgrade, you must pass the GACE Instructional Technology assessment and add the new field to your existing Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) teaching certificate.

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's School of Instructional Technology & Innovation has been
recognized by the International Society for Transforming Education (ISTE) as an ISTE+ASCD
EdTech Leader Certification Provider. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ is the first and only higher
education program in Georgia to receive this distinction.
As part of the program, you will develop a portfolio aligned with the ISTE Standards
for Educators (ISTE-E). Upon graduation, you may choose to submit your portfolio to
ISTE for for a fee of $250.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ is the only institution in Georgia offering educators the opportunity
to pursue both GaPSC certification in Instructional Technology and ISTE+ASCD EdTech
Leader Certification through the same program.
